Battle Partners is the ninth Japanese expansion of the Pokémon TCG during the Scarlet & Violet era, officially released in Japan on January 24, 2025

This set marks the return of Trainer's Pokémon, a mechanic where the Pokémon card includes its Trainer in the card name, emphasizing the bond between Trainer and Pokémon.The set was later localized in other languages, including English in the Journey Together expansion.
